Carolyn Fegley

The Fegley Law Firm is proud to announce the establishment of the Carolyn Fegley Memorial Award as part of the Bucks County Community College Foundation’s Salute to Mothers Scholarship program.

Scott Fegley, Carolyn’s husband for 26 years, said, “Carolyn was an amazing wife and mother, and we have missed her every day since her passing in 2018. She was also a huge part of our law firm’s growth and success as our Director of Marketing which she expertly handled while raising our three daughters. I am happy that her legacy will live on with the establishment of the Carolyn Fegley Memorial Award. The Scholarship will help Bucks County Community College student-mothers who are pursuing a degree while raising a family. On behalf of the Fegley Law Firm and my entire family, we thank the Foundation for this opportunity and look forward to honoring all the scholarship recipients in April.”

Christina Kahmar-McGinley, CFRE, Executive Director, Foundation & Alumni Relations at Bucks County Community College, adds, “We are so grateful to be able to offer additional funding opportunities for our parenting students thanks to the generosity of Scott Fegley. Bucks student-mothers work diligently and intentionally to create better lives for themselves and their families through an education. Donors like Scott understand the transformative power of an education, and we are honored to work with him to support our students on their path to success.”

The Salute to Mothers Scholarship was created by Professor Emerita Betty Tsai in 2007. Since its creation, over 200 scholarships totaling $275,000 have been awarded to women raising one or more children while attending Bucks County Community College.

The first Carolyn Fegley Memorial Award recipient will be announced at the 16th annual Salute to Mothers Scholarship Tea along with all the other scholarship winners. The Tea will take place on Friday, April 28, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Tyler Formal Gardens on the Bucks County Community College campus in Newtown, PA.
